The whole experiment is carried out in a beaker, initially filled with some water. You can empty it or fill more water into it with the help of taps. A salt shaker is available in the software; shake it to pour salt into the water. There is a scale on the right side of the beaker, which lets you know how much water is currently filled in the beaker.
